136 kHz Power Amplifier
Price: £290
This amplifier uses a pair of 572B tubes in Class B.  With 12 watts of drive, it easily delivers 400 watts of CW.   Includes built-in SWR Bridge; antenna changeover relay; and transmit/receive switch.  Metering of plate current and plate voltage is selectable from a front-panel switch.

For more details, click here.

Note: This amplifier is a based on a KW1000 HF amplifier.

Sorry - this fine PA has now been sold.

KW1000 HF Power Amplifier
Price: £200
This amplifier is an excellent example of a late version KW1000, that includes a low loss tank coil.  This unit has also been fitted with the improved specification mains transformer made by Techno Transformers Limited of Swindon, Wiltshire (Item Part Number: PUR400/13).   In this final version of the specification, the construction of the windings was changed to reduce losses, and hence solve the 'hot transformer' problem that led to the death of many a KW1000.   The amplifier operates on 80/40/20/15/10 m.  Click on the thumbnails to go to larger pictures of the KW1000.

Small LF variometer
Price: £30
This variometer, wound on plastic materials, provides a range of 1.6 to 2.4 mH, and is an ideal variable inductor for coarse tuning LF marconi antennas.  Connection is via 4 mm banana plugs and sockets.

For more details about loading coils, click here.

Sorry - this fine variometer has now been given to a friend.

Small loading coils
Price: £7
Wound on PVC buckets (rather like the small variometer above), I have two fixed coils, at about 2 mH each.  Connection is via 4 mm banana plugs and sockets.

For more details about loading coils, click here.

Sorry - these fine loading coils have now been sold.

Large LF variometer
Price: £110
This huge variometer, wound on plastic materials, provides a range of 1 mH to 6 mH, and is an ideal variable inductor for the coarse and fine tuning of marconi antennas.   Connection is via 4 mm banana plugs and sockets.  A high Q is obtained through the use of 30 amp cable for the main windings.

For more details, click here.

Sorry - this huge variometer has now been sold.

Remote controlled variometer and control box
Price: £75
This variometer is an ideal variable inductor for fine tuning the resonant frequency of LF marconi antennas.  Connection is via 4 mm banana plugs and sockets.  It includes a 'Lego'-based variometer drive unit, and a built-in impedance matching transformer.   The control box requires a 12 v DC supply.

Impedance matching transformer
Price: £23
This transformer will match a 50 ohm feeder to a typical resonant LF Marconi antenna, where the feed impedance is usually greater than 50 ohms.  Connection is via 4 mm banana plugs and sockets, and the unit is housed in a splash-proof container.  Includes secondary taps for 50; 100; 150; 200; and 250 ohms.
